Safety Posting - Electrical Troubleshooting

Electrical shock from both high and low voltages can be deadly. Electrical troubleshooting is one of the most hazardous parts of the business. Always de-energize the equipment and use lockout and tag out when repairing or replacing electrical components in a system. However, an element of electrical troubleshooting must take place with the equipment live. In that case, never place both hands in a system or lean over live components. Avoid working in wet or damp conditions. Always use tools with insulated handles and make sure that all grounds are properly connected.
