Fall semester begins August 18

 

The Cypress College Hotel, Restaurant, Culinary Arts (HRC) program offers classroom instruction from industry professionals along with practical, hands on experience to ensure optimal skill enhancement. With various Certificates/Degrees programs available in Hotel Management, Restaurant and Food Service Management and Culinary Arts, HRC is a great choice for those new to the industry or seasoned veterans wanting to stay on top of current trends. With the addition of general education courses, our Associate of Science Degrees prepare students for entry-level management positions, as well as fulfill many academic transfer requirements to four-year institutions such as Cal Poly-Pomona, CSU-Long Beach and the Culinary Institute of America. HRC students benefit from theoretical studies combined with hands on experience with our internship partners and campus foodservice operations including the HRC Bistro, a full service student run fine dining restaurant.

Located near the Anaheim Resort District, industry partners such as Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, ESPN Zone and others actively seek and promote HRC students for all sorts of exciting positions. From entry-level to management positions, HRC can provide education, guidance, internship and job placement opportunities for those seeking careers in the exciting world of hospitality and culinary arts.
