The first step is to set up an appointment with our T-TEN coordinator, Mr. Blanchard. He will review the program with you and will work to place you in an internship position at a Toyota/Scion/Lexus dealer. You will also need to visit with the Vocational Division Guidance Counselor staff to create an education plan. The Guidance Counselor will then direct you to Enrollment Services so you can become a Cypress College Student and enroll for classes.
The Associate Degree is sometimes called a two year degree. How long it will take you depends on your specific situation. Some students finish within two years, while others may take longer. The Counseling Staff can assist in creating an education plan that fits your needs.
T-TEN specific course fees are based on the same academic unit cost as other Cypress College courses. A wide range of scholarship programs and student loan packages are available. The Counseling Staff can direct you to a Financial Aid staff person for individual attention to your needs.
Many of our core subject areas use Toyota Training Materials and Vehicles. In these classes, you will have the opportunity to take the related T-TEN course test. As a T-TEN student, you earn Toyota credit towards certification when you pass the test and you do not need to take the related course. This saves you time and money so you can graduate and get to work faster.
