The Automotive Technology program at Cypress College has many aspects. Some of the paths or areas of interest are listed below:
These are designed for the working technician or interested individual who desires more training or expertise in a narrow area such as smog check technician training or brake and vehicle alignment.
This is a comprehensive training program of over 50 units which takes most students about 4 semesters to complete and covers all major automotive systems.
This course of study includes all of the automotive units required for the certificate and in addition approximately 25 units of general education requirements.
Toyota T-TEN program includes Toyota specific courses in addition to a sponsoring dealer which the college instructors may help locate for you.
Personal enrichment courses, typically basic in nature which introduce the student to the Automotive industry and individual operating components of their personal vehicles.
All of the courses in this program are taught by ASE Certified technicians with many years of experience in their specialty area. The program itself is also ASE Certified as to the individual course content and instructor competence.
